Mahogany Corner

FA Duane Ackerman, 2014
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

Climb through a couple of overlaps in the corner, placing gear and clipping one bolt along the way, before arriving at the large tree below the nice looking dihedral. The final 10 feet or so makes this climb worth doing! A bit of lichen at the bottom made the initial friction moves a bit dicey with limited protection so use caution getting off the ground.

Location

On the far right side of the Egg Wall above the boulders, look for an obvious dihedral with several overlaps and good-sized tree 3/4 of the way up.

Protection

Standard rack, 1 bolt mid route. Make sure to bring a couple pieces equivalent to BD 0.3 or Blue Metolius for the finger crack in the final dihedral. Chain anchor.
