Slabtastically Fun

Description

Must love slab! A whole lot of fun, crimpy, and sometimes insecure moves. Sustained series of 5.10- slab moves.

Location

Left (west) side of the Fun Ship. You'll need to do either the 5.7 Fun Approach pitch or the direct 5.9/10a pitch. If you do the 5.7 Fun Approach pitch you can TR the 5.9/10a pitch of P1.

Protection

P1- 5 bolts. 5.9+/5.10a. Might be harder for shorter people. Step up the easy slab, clip a few bolts then step up to the slippery slab and make an insecure but well protected move through the lower sugar band. Good practice for P2. Work your way up to the limestone band and place a couple small/medium pieces. Step up high and clip a bolt. Make a balancey insecure move to a big rail and eventually a big pocket high and right. Clip one more bolt and then step up to the anchor.

P2- 13 (yes, 13!) bolts plus a #1 and #2 Camalot for the top out move. Seems like a lot of bolts until you find yourself making insecure, slabby moves and you're happy it's generously bolted. With another 5 or 6 long draws I'm sure you could probably run these pitches together.
