"Guano Cave"

obvious cave above the trail on the SE aspect of Mescal Mtn. there are some giant nails driven into the crack "protecting" this climb, some of them maybe ok. I think these are from FBeckey as they are the same as on the Beckey Route on Christianity Spire.

pass the cave on the trail heading west until a somewhat vegetated steep slope can be accessed, then contour on slick rock slabs back to the right (east) to the base of the route.

bring a half dozen slings to tie off the nails. rap off a sling on a boulder in the cave, or down climb.
