Description

Begins with lieback; transitions to the main vertical hand/wide fist crack. Perhaps no single distinct crux, but somewhat sustained until the angle eases off past the halfway point. Less facey than some other Big Bear area climbs.

Location

Walk off the back, which requires annoying trending around the formation to return to the base. Otherwise, reverse mantle the last few moves of the route on somewhat grainy rock and continue descending an obvious gully. (Gully is also on climber's right, but northish of the climb itself.)

Protection

No bolts anywhere. C4 #5s to protect the wide lieback crack if you're not comfortable running it out right off the deck for a sustained 10' or so. Cams between C4 #2-4 for the rest of the steep crack. After the angle eases, smaller sizes for the intermittent crack in the flake above.
