Dare Seize the Fire

Dare Seize the Fire is a challenging and thrilling journey up the clean panel of thin seams in the middle of the Stripes Wall.

Begin on the first 2/3 of

Burning Bright

, then bust left along a seam. As the seam ends, place a small but solid TCU and engage a long, complex boulder problem up the streaked panel. Place more tricky gear at a pumpy stance, then do the final layback moves to the anchor at the top of the wall.

This route was established head-point style. The crux sequence is long, very beta intensive, and nearly impossible to suss on lead. A ground-up ascent would be impressive to say the least. Hypothetically, the small cam at the start of the crux would keep the climber off the ground, but it could be close.

A set of cams from a purple TCU to hand-sized with doubles from 0.75" to 1.25".
