Cosgrove Face

Description

"Cosgrove Face" is not a particularly inspiring line because it is so short, but it might worthwhile first 5.12 because it is short, well-protected and very reasonable for the grade if you have some good beta. More like a roped boulder problem than anything.

Start on ledge, clip two close bolts, and fire the sequential boulder problem crux, hitting a good horizontal at the third bolt. Make one last slippery mantle move to access easier, mossy terrain and the anchors.

Someone reinforced one of the holds through the crux with glue but maybe shouldn't have bothered because the hold is not strictly necessary.

Location

On the left face of Lyme Disease rock, just left of "Tick Ripped My Flesh", 5.10b.

Protection

3 bolts to a two-bolt anchor
