Druid Stone

Description

The large, north facing, fallen, bedding plain, dolomite boulder in the South Fork of Daby Canyon on the caves trail is the Druid Stone. There are 3 very high ball, top ropes and 1 proj on it.

The warm up is the right edge, 5.11-.

Just left is the Right Route 5.13c/V9 R *** and just left of center is Left Route; 5.13aR ****.

Ty's project starts on Right and climbs to Left finish: 5 14 type.

Very limited number of burns available for the finger tips on the epitome of small holds on an overhanging flat wall.

Location

All Darby routes are in Wyoming. Drive deep into Wyoming, Darby Canyon and park at the trailhead. Hike up toward the caves, cross the wilderness boundary and viola' you are there in 12 minutes.

Protection

Some anchorage on top, if u look hard. Longer, durable runners neccessary,  As many mats/pads and spotters as u can get, after top rope rehersal for boulder.  (Even with the perfect, flat landing) 7.2 meters
