Climb off a platform, out of a gully onto the slab (Bolt). Work your way up a sickle shaped, shallow left facing dihedral past gear to another bolt. Climb the beautiful right facing dihedral into a roof trending right. Climb out of the roof to the chains.

50 yards left (East) of Direct Commitment is another slab that is distinguished by a crag wide roof system that guards the bottom of the slab. Head up to the far left side of this on a platform. Look up high to locate the roof. The trail heads over below the Commitment proper slab.
