Wave Twister

FA Pon and Pain, 2003
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

At first, this climb is steeper and more tightly bolted than

ISDC

. Climb up formerly dynamited rock, using big, awkwardly located, fragile holds. Once on natural, dirty rock, follow a thin crack with optional placements for small cams. A fixed Lost Arrow with a short old black sling is found in this section. The chains are located at about 80 feet.

The second pitch (5.6) follows a wide, left-leaning crack, eventually passing one bolt (40 feet).

Location

It is about 20 feet left of

ISDC

.

Protection

Because of fragile holds, I recommend stick-clipping the first of six bolts. Tiny/small cams, plus one four-inch cam, are optional for p.1; #4 and/or 4.5 Camalots desirable for p.2.
