Bonney's Pinnacle - East Face & South Ridge

FA August 11, 1948 by Orrin and Roger Bonney

Description

From the Lower Saddle, traverse Pinocchio Pinnacle on the West, go through the notch between the two pinnacles, and climb easily the east and south sides of this small tower. It is a straightforward scramble on good rock. I soloed it so am unsure of the gear, but don't fall.

Location

This pinnacle is the higher (right) of the two at the base of the North Ridge of Middle Teton and is comprised of excellent rock. It is passed but not often climbed by climbers ascending the North Ridge. Climbing this and/or Pinocchio Pinnacle are a great addition to an ascent of the North Ridge and provide an excellent view of the South side of the Grand Teton if one has the energy and an hour to spare.
