Description

Overall, I like this problem a lot; but also understand some may not, which is why I gave it 3 stars. This problem has a strong crimpy take-off that finishes a little thin on top. I suppose you could do a variation that goes left, but puts you in a some danger if you fall, for there is another boulder below you when you top out left.

Now hopefully I got the name right of the problem and boulder. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Location

This problem (among many others) is located on the "Meditation Boulder." It is a large boulder that is about 100-150 yards North of the Coyote Rocks parking lot. It can be identified by the tall elongated southwest face, that looks very thin; along with a shorter northwest face that is almost completely bare.

This particular problem starts on the southeast corner of the boulder on 2 crimps. Bump through one crimp to a conehead looking crimp and top out straight above the start. Although I haven't tried it, I've been told that if you incorporate a sit start, this problem then becomes somewhere in the V6-7 range.

Protection

2+ pads and spotter.
