Description
This crack system has a lot of variety. Plug in some gear, and fire the cruxy starting sequence to reach a bomber #1 jam. The crack quickly widens to big hands and passes a few very brief offwidth bits before easing off. Take a breather, and tackle the final short 0.75 crack.
To descend, continue upward to the top of the formation, and find a deep slot running toward Reynolds Hill. Descend the slot, and do an exposed but easy traverse left around the corner to the two bolt anchor at the top of Granite Staircase, a 5.11b sport climb. Some may want a rope to reach this anchor. From the base of the rappel, it's a short scramble back to your packs.
Location
