Hidden Treasures

Description

Pumpy and sustained climbing up a slightly overhanging patinaed face past three bolts to chain finish. Groundfall potential is a very real threat if the leader is not solid at the grade, so bring your A game!

The route has been extended as of December, 2008 to include a very low angle slab finish that is arguably needless, but the new anchors are much more bomber than the original.

Location

The left most route of the Wall of Buttresses, the start is hidden from the ground (as are most in this area) and climbers must scramble through a cave to gain the belay.

It is a striking and obvious line that should be obvious to anyone looking at the wall.

Protection

Three bolts with optional small cam placement before first bolt.

Single chain anchor on top of small roof signals end of original route, new chains 20 feet higher on low angle slab are now the standard.
