Surf Safari

FA Scot Frye, 1992
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

Though it's not nearly as popular as Endless Bummer, this stout testpiece climbs steep, overhanging pockets that require powerful, bouldery movement. As with Endless Bummer, finish with an awkward mantle onto the surfboard ledge. When Scott Frye first climbed this line back in 1992, it was was one of the hardest routes in California. Originally graded 5.13d, it could be closer to 5.14a by modern standards.
