Starts from the slot canyon  immediately south of the Reefer Madness Formation. Climbs the north wall .Scramble up the canyon for about 300' to the hour glass shaped slab.The climb takes a fine exposed route up slabs/grooves and the final pitch is a line of interesting pot holes (very holy)

(P1. Climb the slab passed a bolt towards the left arete.Move around this edge and into an alcove. Continue up the left edge passed two more bolts and some cams to double anchors below the obvious groove. 190'5.8R

(P2. Sustained climbing up the groove  passed four bolts to double anchors below an open notch.180'5.9R.

(P3.The holy pitch .Move up to the notch and flat rock ledge ,cross this to the left and make delicate move around a bulge and enter the line of holes . Follow these to the top of the climb (some cam pro)to belay on two good natural threads (left in place on FA}.190'5.7.

Descent:-It would be difficult to rap down the route as it is on an angle.? Instead scramble up easy slabs from last belay to easy ground. From here forth class down the low angled slabs for several hundred feet keeping more to the right side(south). When the slabs steepen keep a lookout for the rap anchors of a route named Slab Family Ross and Son. When this is found, rap straight down and at about 200' intervals two  more rap anchors will be found making a total of 3 raps to some 4th class slabs .Scramble to the right (south)down these heading towards the entrance of the slot canyon.

Starts 15' right of Under the Spell. P1). Follow 8 bolts to double anchors . Passing the first and second bolt is the 5.11 section.

This route has some classic delicate slab climbing the middle two pitches being quite sustained from the 5.8 to the 5.10 range.This climb after the 4th pitch joins onto the upper easy pitches of Reefer Madness.From here one can continue up for about another 700' to the summit of the formation.

P1)Follow the Slab /Groove up to the right to double anchors below a steep slab.Some cam pro. 5.6R.160'

P2) Just left of the belay climb with difficulty passed two bolts.The climbing stays interesting . Follow a total of 5 bolts trending slightly right to double anchors below another steeper wave.5.10/5.8R 180'.

P3)Straight up from the belay passing two bolts at 5.9+ ,continue at about 5.8R . At the 4th and last bolt a 70' runout at 5.6 to double anchors. 5.9+ 200'.

P4)Straight up at about 5.3 to double anchors 160'.(Junction with the 1780'Reefer Madness route). From here one can climb several 200' 5.3/4 pitches to the fine summit of this massive formation.

The route climbs the large smooth looking elephant back like slab ,see general photo of the Reef on  the Mellow Yellow Route._ Drive 3.2 miles from the I.70 entrance to a dirt Rd on the right. This goes in for about 1/4 mile. The Reefer slab is the smooth curved formation well over to the right. about 20 min walk . Starts above a small wash 100' below some prominent red blotches on the rock. Cairn.

P1)The pitch follows indefinite cracks that lead through to black rocks. a cam placement at 60' ,then to a ledge and block belay. 5.8R 150'.

P2) Steep climbing leads to a small bush,then slightly left and back right to join the slanting left leaning crack which is followed to another ledge and block belay. 5.9R 200'

P3) A short 5.7R slab leads to a long ledge.30' _Move belay 60'to the right.

P4) Easier angled slabs leftwards to the dark flake ,then 60' to larger black flake. 5.7R no pro.200'

P5) Straight up from flake on excellent open slab to bolt belay 5.5R no pro. 200'

P6) start angling right at about 5 past 12 to another bolt anchor. 5.4. no pro 200'.

P7)Keep angling right at about 10 past 12 towards black rock below big open groove . Bolt anchor . no pro 5.4. 180'

P8)Up groove to final bolt anchor. 5.0

P9) 4th class slab to fine summit.  400'.

Descent:- Return to final bolt top of P8 . Rap the route to top of P4 . Use bolt out to the right to rap 210' onto easy slab on the long ledge a top P3. On edge of this ledge double anchors to a scramble off left.

Approach from the Uneva trail head,about 20 mins to the south.The Slab is the large formation about 1400' in height to the right of Surfing the Swell formation, right of the second gully. Cairn marks the start;.

P1)Climb an open slab that lies below a crack system to natural belay.200' 5.5R

P2). Continue up the slab,some spike pro for slings. Trend right to a bolt at about 130'. From the bolt go left to belay in the crack system. Bolt and stopper belay. 160' 5.7R.

P3). Follow crack and slab to the right. After 50' the climbing is easy to bolt anchors. 200' 5.8R.

P4).Straight up slab to bolt anchors. 200' 5.4R. P6)4th class 600' to the summit . Register in cairn.

Descent :- Rap the route

Begin climbing up and left up some nice pockets in a seam.  The crux is probably located in this first section.
