This route is on the far left side of the upper tier of climbs.  It is just to the right of the gully.  Start by climbing an easy face beyond a series of horizontal cracks to a large flake not obvious from the ground.  Traverse right a few feet to a off width left slanting crack.  When the crack runs out, move right across the face on small foot holds until you reach the final dihedral for the final 15 feet to the top.  There is one big tree about 10 feet back that can be used as an anchor.  It's probably best to not use the small tree near the edge.

Puppy Crack

A right leaning crack to a roof.

The crux comes right off the ground, a flaring hand crack with lieback moves to establish yourself in a better section of 5.10 hands, a long sustained series of moves before the crack narrow down to a finger crack and a 5.11a roof. There is a back breaking boulder/flake directly below the start of the route, I recommend you be solid at the grade.

This is the aesthetic right leaning splitter to the right of Do or Fly. Easy climbing leads to the crux, slightly overhanging thin hand jams and ring locks. After that you get good finger locks for about ten feet which then leads into wide hand jams up to the top.  Belay off the tree.

Crux is bulge halfway up. One toe jam step up into crack feel for crack on left side of crack way in the back.

There are several ways to start and extend the classic Machine World.  Here, I’ve described what I believe is the most popular and aesthetic variation to the problem.

A sick pumpy line between Do or Fly and Horse Shoes and Hand Grenades. It shares the same start as Horse Shoes and Hand Grenades then branches out left to a bolt. A few dynamic moves leads to pumpy climbing around a bulge. The climb finishes at the anchors for Do or Fly.

An awesome boulder traverse on the northeast side of Puppy Dome. Great for laps and building forearm endurance. Many ways to get through the crux slopey section. Start on two heavily chalked jugs in a small cave and start working right. Have fun!

Nice hand and finger crack.  The crux is 15 feet or so off the deck.  It's a great crack for teaching basic crack climbing technique.
