Peak Mountain 3

Big Big Roof

Description

[Edit]

Ed Bollack found this small but rather tall outcrop with a massive Big Big Roof, might even be the tallest rock outcrop in the area standing at 50 feet.  However lots of loose blocks around on the face and some seriously scary rocks precariously hanging from the roof.  Also lots of poison ivy around the base.  This place isn't for everyone with it's hazards but if you need a new adventure and have done most of the outcrops in Thurmont Watershed and surrounding area this might be for you just keep your belayer out of the way from falling rocks.  We had fun climbing and establishing some of the routes here. There are shorter rocks / boulders out to the left of the main outcrop.
