Peak Mountain 3

Pinnacle, The

Description

[Edit]

The Pinnacle is the largest wall of the outcrops on the left end of the TWS outcrops. The East wall has 2 fantastic climbs in the 5.8-5.9 range. The wall overhangs but has good holds. There just aren’t many good rests so it’s pumpy. The Pinnacle does have a set up difficulty. It truly is free standing, about 4 feet below and in front of the hillside wall. Jump the gap to the top of the pinnacle. An exposed but short easy scramble can also be used from the back west corner to the top. Anchors are a small tree and gear. To get the top system down, finish one of the climbs to the top. Lower one end of the rope down the low angle west side and have someone secure the other end of the rope to a tree on the opposite side. Rappel the west side. Pull the rope back over the top.

The Pinnacle East Face: Pink - Lichen Rain, Green - Boogie Woogie Jam, Purple - Three Minutes of Heavy Breathing
