Description
[Edit]The Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve is a designated "wilderness area" approximately 60 miles west of Juneau. The park features a host of bays, glaciated mountain ranges, and river valleys flanked by the pacific ocean on one border and the last stretch of Coast Mountains on the other. Under the guise towering 15,000ft Mount Fairweather, geology happens in real time here, with stories of native tribes being forced off their land by expanding glaciers and massive tsunamis.
