Description
[Edit]Directly behind and very close to the Lava Boulder, which is directly behind and touching the Sunset Boulder.
The Massie Boulder is just above the Wilburn Waters Boulder.
The Massie Boulder is named after Lee Massie who worked for Fairwood Lumber Company and helped build the railroad that once moved through the region to log the forests in the area. The Massie family lived in one of the original cabins in the park in the late 1800s.
Massie is a highball steep boulder comprised of volcanic Rhyolite. The face is very featured and the landing is good providing you have couple pads to even out the small blocks below.
