Sloppy Seconds

Description

I was there all morning with a friend doing routes. After going home and eating lunch, I texted him a photo of a crack I had seen scrambling around a few weeks ago. He said he was interested, so we went back for a second session that day - hence the name.

It’s not the most aesthetic line but I’m always keen for granite crack routes that require some jamming among a plethora of other climbing skills. There is a section of flared crack that won’t want your jams, and or your pro either. I didn’t have much loose rock but watch out for the jugs at the top as one felt a little loose.

*** Not sure if this is #14 A Little Loose in the Attic per the Marty guide so if this was already sent by someone else, please let me know so the name and FA can be updated.

Location

Climbers right of snake pit arete and downhill (20 yards away).

Protection

In BD C4 and X4 sizes: singles 0.1, 0.75, 1, 3 and 4.

Plenty of gear anchor options on top. Walk off.
