Description
Positive moves up and over a roof. As fun as it looks. If only it were longer.
Start under the obvious low roof on right side of chimney. Over it and up to the top.
Variation (5.9): Start about eight feet down the slope below right (sitting?) under an overhang under the crack for the route Monkey Zag. Diagonal up left to get under the roof.
name: Clyde was the orangutan friend of Philo Beddoe the truck-driver / bare-knuckle fighter in two of the most popular films starring Clint Eastwood ("Every Which Way" / "Any Which Way")
warning: Loose rock is still a concern here. Belayer or other members of party should not stand anywhere near underneath the climber.
. . . (Lots of vegetation on this rock as of 2016. Be prepared when climbing to navigate around protruding trees and branches, and dealing with holds slippery with grass, lichen, moss, dirt).
Location
Low roof in right side of obvious chimney at the top left end of the upper Giving Tree sector, which is at the right side of the right section of Monkey Bar sector.
