Description

This route starts the same as ‘Corkscrew’.

Pitch 1: Climb up about 20 feet along the arete. Head right and follow the left edge of the low angle rock where it meets the steep wall. Traverse far right along the joining edge of low and steep rock. Continue traversing to the corner and then up to a ledge with a cedar tree on it. Belay here.

Pitch 2: Exit left traversing the ledge to a left-facing arete and then straight up to the top. This route has a 5.4 variation called ‘Sunday Plus’ that starts 10 feet right of this route, follows up the face and then rejoins it. Cool variation!

Location

Start as for 'Tree Toad Fracture'.

Protection

Standard gap rack: Small to medium cams, 2 large cams, set of stoppers, few small tri-cams.
